Support local Scouting

Help fund the
next adventure.

Fundraising helps 7th Boston Swineshead provide equipment, activities and affordable opportunities for young people in our community.

Where the money goes

Every contribution makes a local difference.

Funds raised by families, volunteers, local organisations and community supporters are used to strengthen the experiences we can offer young people.

Activities and camps

Help make adventurous activities and nights away more accessible to young people.

Equipment

Support the purchase, maintenance and safe replacement of activity and camping equipment.

A strong local group

Help with the practical costs of running welcoming, safe and sustainable local Scouting.

Small actions add up

Fundraising works best
when we do it together.

You do not need fundraising experience to help. A practical idea, a community connection, an hour at an event or help sharing an appeal can all make a valuable difference.

Before organising an activity in the group’s name, please contact us so the team can help with approval, safety, insurance and handling funds correctly.

Ways to get involved

Choose a way to help that suits you.

Help at an event

Give some time to support a group fundraising event, stall or community activity.

Share an idea

Suggest an achievable fundraising activity or introduce us to a useful local opportunity.

Workplace and community support

Tell us about suitable grants, matched funding or support offered by your employer or local organisation.

Offer practical support

Help with planning, promotion, equipment, refreshments or another skill needed to make an activity happen.

Fundraising questions

Good to know.

Please speak to the group before collecting money, approaching businesses or promoting an event on behalf of 7th Boston Swineshead.

Where does the money raised go?

Fundraising supports equipment, activities, camps and the practical costs of running the group. It helps us keep local Scouting as affordable as we can. Contact us if you would like to hear about the group’s current fundraising priorities.

How can I help?

Come to an event, offer some time, help with practical preparations or share an appeal published by the group. You do not need fundraising experience. Contact us to find out what is coming up and which tasks would be most useful.

Can I organise my own fundraiser for the group?

Please talk to us before organising or advertising anything in the group’s name. We can discuss your idea, approvals, safety, insurance and how funds will be handled. This also helps us coordinate with other group activities.

Can a local business or my employer help?

Yes, we welcome conversations about practical support, suitable grants, workplace matched funding and other community opportunities. Contact the group with the details before making an application or approaching a business on our behalf.

Can I offer equipment, materials or a practical skill?

Please tell us what you have in mind before buying or bringing anything along. The team can check whether an item is needed and suitable, or whether your skills could help with planning, promotion, equipment or an event.

Can I help if I only have a little time?

Yes. An hour at an event, a useful introduction or help sharing an agreed appeal can make a difference. Tell us what you can offer and we can discuss a manageable task without a regular commitment.

Who should I speak to before collecting money?

Contact the group before collecting money, setting up a fundraising page or promoting an event on our behalf. Ask the team to confirm the agreed collection method and how to pass funds on before you begin.
