Let's go!Beavers get stuck into energetic games, nature, experiments and their first nights away — all with new friends beside them.
Preparing for Beavers in Swineshead is an exciting step for a family. Our Beaver uniform pairs the blue sweatshirt with the 7th Boston Swineshead group necker, giving children a shared identity as they make friends and try new activities.
Our necker is black with a narrow purple inner border and deep green outer edging. It connects all four sections at 7th Boston Swineshead, from Squirrels through to Scouts.
Beaver badges mark the skills children explore and the challenges they take on. The uniform has places for activity badges, challenge awards and group identification; our section team can help you identify a new badge and check its position.
If you are joining from Swineshead, Boston or a nearby Lincolnshire village, contact us before buying uniform. We can explain what your child needs and help with questions about their first meeting.

The section uniform includes a blue Beavers sweatshirt and the 7th Boston Swineshead group necker. Contact the team before buying uniform so we can explain what is needed and when. Our Beavers resource guide covers uniform, badges and the Promise.
Activities and challenges give young people opportunities to learn skills and work towards badges. Ask your section leaders about a particular badge and where it belongs before sewing it on or transferring it from another uniform. The resource guide links to official placement guidance.
Tell the section team before a first visit about anything that would help your child take part. Leaders can explain the routine and discuss a gradual introduction or suitable adjustments. Agree support arrangements with the team so everyone knows what to expect.
The section team will confirm current subscriptions and payment arrangements, along with any separate costs for uniform, camps or trips. If cost is a concern, please speak to the team privately so you can discuss the options before committing.
The section teams plan the move to Cubs together as your child reaches the next age group. Ask your current leader about timing, getting to know the new team and any uniform or badge changes before buying replacements.

Your first visit is relaxed, friendly and commitment-free. Come meet the team and see what Beavers is all about.
